Project: School in Villas del Progreso, Bogotá – Innovation, Sustainability, Adaptability
The project for the school in Villas del Progreso stands out for its innovation, sustainability, and adaptability. It has achieved an exceptional level of maturity, evidenced by meticulous attention to detail and operational efficiency. The implementation of the design includes the creation of multiple courtyards, each with a unique character that enriches the internal journey and spatial quality of the educational environment. The integration and articulation of the multipurpose and versatile classroom with the public space allow clear and direct access to the community, with the potential to provide a variety of additional services due to its proximity to the library.

The distribution of preschool classrooms has been carefully planned around one of the courtyards, creating a generous and secure environment for students. Additionally, passive strategies for thermal control, maximizing natural lighting, efficient management of rainwater, and integration of renewable energy systems have been implemented. The selection and management of materials have been carried out considering their relevance to the location and purpose of the project, facilitating the creation of open spaces that form a diverse and functional system of recreational and sports areas distributed throughout the school complex.
