The ECO-DUCT project seeks not only to manage the supply and treatment of water for the citizenry but also to foster a deeper appreciation of its value in the urban landscape. The challenge lies in technically resolving the requirements of the competition in a manner coherent with the environment, using a respectful architectural language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>The location of the Bogot\u00e1 Aqueduct Technical Laboratories between the San Francisco River Canal and the parks of the western capital symbolizes a new perspective in the relationship between the city and the river. Bogot\u00e1’s demographic growth in the 20th century led to an expansion towards the west of the savanna, affecting the city’s environmental structure. The gradual disconnection from water bodies as part of community life has led to pollution and the burying of the river, a phenomenon that this project seeks to reverse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
