The main challenge was to connect different United Nations agencies, through meeting and collaborative spaces. The aim was to break boundaries to integrate collective and integrated workplaces.

The most intimate and quiet spaces were separated by meeting places that isolated others from activation and noise, creating a gradation of privacy that always privileged encounter, openness and transparency.

General Sustainability Strategy

Thinking about ways to reduce impacts, UN HOUSE BOGOTÀ starts by recognizing the existing site to adapt new working methods that avoid displacements from one place to another and open spaces for meetings and collaborative work.

A challenge of this strategy is to continue to have acoustic comfort despite the close relationships that exist, so thinking in zones has been a fundamental strategy. Regarding levels of lighting and thermal comfort, the main strategy was to eliminate all possible internal barriers, generating open and interconnected spaces that facilitate the arrival of natural light to different areas of the floor plan and facilitating natural ventilation and air renewal in different spaces passively (without mechanical elements).
