Embroider the city outside and wellness gardens inside.

Today, preserving heritage involves more than just conserving historical memory; it also means integrating it into current urban life to strengthen civic culture and improve quality of life. The proposal aims to revitalize San Juan de Dios, a historic space in Bogotá, through a strategy of urban, social, and ecological integration.

This strategy seeks to suture memory, city, and ecosystems to reclaim the significance of this landmark in the city’s history and its future development. The intervention aims to redefine spaces, revitalize the relationship with the community, and highlight the heritage and natural values of the area, transforming it into a vital urban and cultural node for the city. Urban suture thus becomes a tool to weave together the different aspects of contemporary reality with the abandoned fabrics of San Juan, creating a more legible and meaningful environment that promotes well-being and social learning.
