The Cinemateca project, submitted for the competition organized by the Colombian Society of Architects, is conceived as the continuation and culmination of the major diagonal pedestrian axis of the Triángulo de Fenicia Partial Plan in Bogotá.
The proposal weaves together a covered plaza and a tree-lined park, creating a public, open ground floor for outdoor screenings and cultural activities. Inside, the program is organized by thematic floors, encouraging visitors to explore the building while engaging with the preservation of audiovisual heritage and the urban landscape of downtown Bogotá.
